Supported Living

What is Supported Living?

At CPR Housing CIC, we believe that individuals with physical and learning disabilities should have choice and control over where and how they live, and who provides their support.

Supported Living is a model that separates housing from support, creating unique solutions tailored to each tenant. We source and secure high-quality homes while partnering with care provider organizations to deliver the necessary social, domiciliary, or floating care and support.

Supported living can vary greatly based on individual needs, such as:

  • Housing Options:

    • Renting through an assured or assured shorthold tenancy, either jointly or individually, in shared or self-contained accommodation.

    • Living in an owned property, either outright or through shared ownership.

    •

  • Support Options:

    • Receiving fully funded support.

    • Combining paid-for support with informal support from family, friends, and the community.

    • Relying solely on natural support without paid-for services.

    • Customizing housing and support from scratch, or moving into an existing service with available accommodation and support.

    •

Our tenants enjoy security of tenure, with the same rights and responsibilities as anyone renting their own home.

Supported living options allow for social services and health funding to cover necessary care and support, subject to fairer charging procedures. Additionally, the welfare benefits system can assist with housing and everyday living costs.

Emergency Housing

What is Emergency Housing?

At CPR Housing CIC, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and secure place to live, especially during times of crisis. Our emergency housing services provide immediate, short-term accommodation for homeless individuals and families in need.

Emergency Housing offers swift solutions tailored to each person's or family's unique situation. We secure high-quality temporary homes and partner with support organizations to provide the necessary care and assistance during this critical period.

Emergency housing can take various forms to meet diverse needs, such as:

  • Housing Options:

    • Temporary accommodation in furnished apartments or houses.

    • Placement in shared housing with private bedrooms and communal living spaces.

    • Emergency shelter facilities for immediate, short-term stays.

    •

  • Support Options:

    • Access to fully funded support services, including counseling and case management.

    • Assistance with finding long-term housing solutions.

    • Connection to community resources, including healthcare, employment services, and educational programs.

    •

Our residents benefit from secure and dignified living arrangements, with the same rights and responsibilities as anyone else renting a home.

Emergency housing is designed to bridge the gap between homelessness and stable living. Social services and health funding often cover the costs of necessary care and support.

Additionally, the welfare benefits system can help with housing and everyday living expenses, ensuring individuals and families can transition to long-term stability.
